This Wednesday, April 8, 2020, during a period of confinement, Tibau Tvares offered us a live on-line concert from the terrace of the Césaria suite in Casa Evora. I want to thank him for his generosity and more.
I knew Tibau in 2003 when he told me that the Casa Evora was eventually for sale.
After many adventures, the project was finally finalized to give the Casa Evora, Guesthouse open to the public.
It is quite natural that I gave the name of Tibau Tavares to one of the rooms.
He is a complete artist: author, composer, talented performer who gives concerts in Cape Verde and internationally: Germany, Italy, Belgium, France ….
Always accessible, you can meet him at Maio and sometimes in the evening, find him at his wife’s grocery store-bar (main avenue) by stroller chanssonnette alone or accompanied. Do not hesitate to approach, it is very accessible and warm.
