General booking terms

Preamble: the general conditions of reservation are made to protect you, guarantee you a real reservation and to guard against any fraudulent use of your personal data and your payment card.

1- By checking the box of the general booking conditions, the host certifies having read, understood and accepted the general booking conditions according to the terms below.

2- Definition:

  1. Guest: person making a reservation request
  2. Host: legal entity Casa Evora, Guesthouse, lda offering rooms and services on its site
  3. Site: website of the host whose address is www.casa-evora.com
  4. Reservation request: form filled in by the guest on the website of the host
  5. Reservation: reservation request accepted by the host
  6. Summary of your reservation “price” is the total price net of all costs of the reservation to be collected by the host
  7. Payment card: credit card, MasterCard, visa, vinti4 accepted by the host below designated by CB

3- The prices formulated in the reservation request are binding on the parties.

4- The tourist tax will be directly covered on site with regard to the legislation in force. As at 1/6/2019 220 escudos (2 €) per night and per adult with a maximum of 10 days to be collected from the date of entry.

5- The reservation requests received by the host will be subject to an analysis of the different calendars before guaranteeing availability.

6After acceptance of the reservation request by the host, the latter may ask the guest to guarantee any insincere reservation requests:

A– the details of his personal payment card: a) full name as it appears on the payment card; b) full number; c) validity date: MM / YY.

– Only the valid payment card in the name of the guest can be provided to the host.

– The guest gives permission to the host to keep the transmitted CB information until payment of the end of stay invoice.

– As a validity test of the credit card, the host can carry out a direct debit operation equal to 1 (one) euro on the credit card. This validation levy will be deductible from the final invoice for its net value.

– The host may in accordance with the cancellation conditions make any withdrawal justified by the application of the general booking conditions, notably in the event of cancellation within the time limits indicated.

– In the event of a remote direct debit from the payment card, the host can keep the elements of the payment card for 12 months in order to protect themselves against any claim for fraudulent debit. Payment card information will be stored securely by the host.

B– payment of the reservation for the amount of the room by credit card, by bank transfer or deposit in one of the bank accounts of the host.

– the transfer costs are exclusively borne by the originator of the transfer in such a way that the transfer received by the host is for its net value..

– international CB payments are recorded as payment for their real value perceived by the host, i.e. 97.5% of the total international CB made. The 2.5% not registered are the fees charged by international CB organizations.

– international CB charges will be included in the final invoice.

7- Cancellation conditions: after the withdrawal period of 24 hours after confirmation of the reservation by the guest and acceptance by the host, the cancellation of a reservation at the request of the guest will result in full payment of the reservation.

8- Applicable law: the reservation request and the reservation fall under the applicable law of Cape Verde with the sole jurisdiction of the Commercial Court of Vila do Porto Inglès – Ilha do Maio – Cape Verde.
